Limitations and alternatives
Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of Loro Piana Traceability Web Application, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations, and potential solutions. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below.
Known limitations for Loro Piana Traceability Web Application:
1. The focus is not moved into the revealed content (WCAG 2.4.3 Focus Order – Level A): When opening the overlay layer of the product passport, registration, login, password change and registration confirmation, the focus is not brought to the component, but moves to the close button. The issue is planned to be fixed. Please contact the accessibility point of contact if you encounter an issue.
2. The keyboard navigation continues to components that are not active in the page (WCAG 2.1.1 Keyboard - Level A): When navigating the product detail page via keyboard, navigation continues within the menu despite not having been activated. The issue is planned to be fixed. Please contact the accessibility point of contact if you encounter an issue.
3. Color is not used as the only visual means of conveying information, indicating an action, prompting a response, or distinguishing a visual element (WCAG 1.4.1 Use of Color – Level A): Links and buttons within the web app do not present any feedback on tap and on hover. The colour will not be the only element providing feedback, but adjustments will be implemented to identify the state change on hover (e.g. underlining text). The issue is planned to be fixed. Please contact the accessibility point of contact if you encounter an issue.
4. No errors are identified in Login Account (WCAG 3.3.1 Error Identification - Level A): if the user does not fill in the email and password fields, no errors are presented when clicking on the Login button. The issue is planned to be fixed. Please contact the accessibility point of contact if you encounter an issue.
5. An alternative presentation of content should preserve the reading order needed to understand the meaning (1.3.2 Meaningful Sequence - Level A): In a multi-column table, the linear presentation of the content should flow from the top of a column to the bottom of the column, then to the top of the next column. The presentation of the content is not linear in the Product Passport area. The issue is planned to be fixed. Please contact the accessibility point of contact if you encounter an issue.
6. The focus is not always visible (WCAG 2.4.7 Focus Visible – Level AA): During keyboard navigation, some components such as the “Registration confirmation button” do not have a visible focus. The issue is planned to be fixed. Please contact the accessibility point of contact if you encounter an issue.
