Avoid using soap or chemical cleaning products on any parts of the shoes. Do not machine wash. Use a shoehorn when putting them on, and avoid wearing them two days in a row to maintain their shape. When not in use, insert shoe trees or stuff them with paper, and place each shoe in a separate cotton dust bag. Exposure to natural elements can alter the colour of the uppers and soles — changes that provide a one-of-a-kind allure.
